Who should attend this training?

The Serious Escape Room game is ideal for diverse groups, including software developers, Product Owners, testers, Requirements Engineers and Scrum Masters, to create a rich and dynamic team experience. At the same time, it is also perfectly suited for teams of only testers or software developers, where the focus is on deepening specific skills within their field.

Prior knowledge or training

Each team member must have access to a laptop with a stable internet connection.

Starting situation

Welcome to the virtual realm of BayDL Inc. © – where even the software could sigh of existential boredom.

While you wait for the start of your digital odyssey, feel free to engage in the most human of activities – waiting. Remember, as our resident android Marvin would say, “I could calculate your chances of survival, but you would not like it.”

The assistant of our CEO, who is less cheerful than Marvin on a good day, will initiate your journey through the cosmic code when the universe deems it appropriate. Until then, ponder the mysteries of life, the universe and everything – which in this case is not 42 by the way.

Be aware, as soon as the timer starts, so does your adventure in the digital unknown. Clues will appear as distant stars in the night sky, visible to all teams. But do not get too excited – not all those stars are meant to guide you.

Thank you for your patience… or as Marvin would say, “The first ten million years were the worst, and the second ten million years, they were the worst too. The third ten million? I did not like them at all. After that it went downhill a bit.”

Structure of this training

You, as a team, are challenged to make a successful release possible. You will do that in 1.5 to 2 hours. Based on progress in the game, the facilitator can help the team further where needed. The program with the escape room can be extended with a 1 or 2 hour inspiration session on Software Development and Quality.
