As a Product Owner, you are the key link between your customers and your Scrum Team. You are responsible for delivering a product that meets the customer’s needs and expectations. But how do you do that effectively? In this training, you will learn how to understand what your customers really want and need, communicate your vision and requirements clearly and maximize the value and quality of your product or service.

This training is useful for anyone who wants to delve into an Agile way of thinking and working and who wants to learn more about fulfilling the role of Product Owner in the Scrum approach.

The Product owner training is designed for learning and testing the professional’s fundamental knowledge of the product owner role, the Agile principles and Scrum methodology. After passing the exam, it may be useful to delve into specific role trainings such as for Product Owner Advanced or Scrum Master.

Prior knowledge or training

We assume that you already know the essence of Agile and Scrum.

Structure of this training

During this two-day training we teach you everything you need to successfully set up your role as Product Owner. By bringing in your own experience and cases, we build a bridge between the principles of Agile and the Scrum approach and the way it is applicable in your organization. You will learn more about the success factors and challenges of the Product Owner role.

Main topics during this two-day training are:

• Agile way of thinking and the Scrum framework
• Agile Product Management
• The role of product owner in the scrum team and in the organization
• Managing the Product Backlog
• Preparing and monitoring Scrum projects
• Planning and estimation and monitoring progress
• Delivering value through Value-Driven Development
• Stakeholder management

The examination process we offer is designed with flexibility and convenience in mind. The exam is optional and is scheduled to take place during the final hour of the training session. However, you can take the exam later at a time that suits you if desired. The exam is conducted online and consists of multiple-choice questions.

Upon successful completion of the exam, you will be awarded with the Product Owner Certificate. This certificate is recognized by both EXIN and scrum.org. Depending on your choice, you will automatically receive the Product Owner certificate.
