Test process improvement with TPI Next TPI® Next helps to determine what needs to be tackled or improved. A structured test method, such as TMap®, helps to determine how this can be implemented. During this course, the relationship between TPI® Next and TMap® will also be indicated, whereby a number of good TMap® handles will.
Objectives
After this training:
- You will understand the need to improve the test process, the main models and their relationship with software process improvement;
- You can explain the structure and background of the TPI ® Next model and the consistency with Software Process Improvement;
- You have a comprehensive understanding of the focus areas, maturity levels and control;
- You have a comprehensive understanding of 'continuous' implementation of the TPI ® Next model through clusters;
- You have a comprehensive understanding of subjects for a 'controlled' level;
- You understand the relationship of TPI ® Next with TMap ® Next, as well as specific TMap ® Next test practices to improve certain areas;
- You can conduct interviews and report findings and recommendations;
- You understand the role and importance of metrics in test and improve process within TPI ® Next.

Who should attend this training?
This training is suitable for you if you are involved in Test Process Improvement within your own organization an want to learn how to apply an international model.
Roles of participants in their organization
This training is meant for:
- test managers, testers and consultants involved in and/or responsible for the structure and improvement of the test process, who want to learn more about testing process improvement, with TPI Next;
- quality assurance and SPI employees with knowledge in the field of test process improvement based on TPI Next, and who are involved in defining test standards.
Prior knowledge or training required
You should hold an ISTQB Certificate in Software Testing at Foundation Level or a certificate TMap Suite Test Engineer.
After this training:
- You will understand the need to improve the test process, the main models and their relationship with software process improvement;
- You can explain the structure and background of the TPI ® Next model and the consistency with Software Process Improvement;

De training is voor u geschikt als u betrokken bent bij het verbeteren van testprocessen binnen uw eigen organisatie en een van de bekendste methoden wilt leren kennen en toepassen.
Rollen van deelnemers in hun organisatie
De training is bestemd voor:
- testmanagers, testers en consultants die betrokken zijn bij of verantwoordelijk zijn voor het structureren en verbeteren van het testproces en zich willen verdiepen in de nieuwe standaard op het gebied van test proces verbeteren, het TPI® Next model;
- medewerkers die verantwoordelijk zijn voor systeem- en/of acceptatietesten en die hun testproces willen verbeteren en/of het testproces van ontwikkeling willen beoordelen;
- kwaliteitszorg en SPI-medewerkers die behoefte hebben aan kennis op het gebied testproces verbeteren op basis van TPI® Next, en betrokken zijn bij het definiëren van teststandaards.
Voorkennis of voortraining
Het wordt aanbevolen dat u minimaal in het bezit bent van een ISTQB Certificate in Software Testing op Foundation Level of een certificaat TMap Next Test Engineer.
Structure of this training
The training lasts two days. You will learn about the TPI Next model in theory and practice. The testing process for your organization is positioned within TPI Next. The course then provides practical skills and tools for improving your test process based upon TPI Next. Discussions and exercises play an important role in this course.
