Become a certified expert in test management with the ISTQB® standard
After this training, you will:
- Be able to lead the test management within an organization, project or program to identify and manage critical success factors with management commitment at CEO/Board level
- Take appropriate business-driven decisions on a test management strategy and create organization wide commitment and compliance based on quality KPIs
- Evaluate the current status of the test management, propose step-wise improvements and show how these are linked to achieving business goals within the organizational context of test management (organization or project/program)
- Establish a clear and effective policy for enhancing test management and testing practices, and execute it successfully in your organization
- Analyze specific problems with the test management and its alignment with other roles or management areas in the project/organization, and propose effective solutions
- Manage the human aspects of test-project management, and implement change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions and adoption
An international standard in software testing
The International Software Testing Qualification Board (ISTQB) was established in November 2002 with the aim of creating and harmonizing a global certification program for software testing. Today, the ISTQB certification scheme is fully recognized and widely adopted around the world. The ISTQB testing certification program consists of three levels:
- Foundation Level
- Advanced Level
- Expert Level
At the Expert level, you can enhance your skills in various areas. One of these areas is Test Management. This level consists of three modules: Strategic Test Management, Operational Test Management and Managing the Test Team. If you successfully complete all modules, you can consider yourself an expert and use the official title of Certified Tester Expert Level (CTEL). This training covers the module ‘Operational Test Management’.
Structure of this training
Where Foundation and Advanced level are about knowledge, comprehension, application and analysis go, the Expert level is about evaluation and creation. You follow three training days and also perform workplace assignments, based on your own case. You can instantly practice the theory.
